Purest UV joins a whole-house system as an add-on. Inside a stainless steel chamber, water meets a UV lamp whose light neutralizes bacteria and viruses without anything being added to the water.

IIs UV a filter?

No. UV targets bacteria and viruses only. Sediment, chlorine and hardness pass through it unchanged, so it comes after filtration.

IIWhy does it come after filtration?

Because it sits downstream, the water reaching the lamp is already filtered, and the lamp's work is the last thing before your taps.
